This unit provides students with a foundational understanding of business and information systems. It introduces key concepts such as the various types of business entities, their core functions, and the principles of business information processing. Students will also gain exposure to basic information systems, enabling technologies, and the fundamentals of IT management. Through the use of business simulations, students will experience running a virtual business and making strategic decisions that align with real-world business scenarios. In addition, students will gain hands-on experience in setting up and configuring ERP system modules, directly applying business processes to technology solutions. These experiences will equip students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for higher-level learning in the fields of business information systems and digital technologies.
